If you’ve ever visited our Monte Bello Estate before, then chances are you know these vines:
Colloquially, we call it The Knoll.
It is, in fact, a .18-acre block of Cabernet Sauvignon that was planted in 1949; these vines are some of the very first post-Prohibition vines to enter the Monte Bello soil.
On September 28th, 2013, they gave their grapes to the vintage.
And just like that, they were gone.
It’s like that.
