I am traveling at the moment (currently awaiting the high-jinks howls of the coyotes as they commence their nocturnal gambol across the hills of Santa Barbara, beneath the chary approval of bright Orion and his constellar concomitants alit with country noirscapes), so was not able to personally accrue a new image of our Monte Bello vine, and for reasons equally folkloric and mystical, my colleague to the north was also unable to fulfill her oeno-ordainment.
Fortunately, one Eliot to the north and one Sam to the south were able to lensify in our respective steads, and VineWatch proceeds on unabated, accordingly!
To begin, please note that our Lytton Springs vine has had added to its externate architecture a second stake , as can be seen below:
Whereas at Monte Bello, The Vine Remains The Same, as it were, though this is now confirmededly the final weekend before pruning, so this is perhaps our last pictorial celebration of its many-tendril’d splendor:
Thank you to Eliot and Sam for bringing us another week closer to our beautiful vines, and thank you to you all for joining us in their seasonal promenade towards attainment, actualization, and theirselves, of themselves, becoming forth.
Please stay tuned as we follow our lovely vines through the 2013 vintage!
We’re only five weeks in so far, but for a quick look back, please enjoy the links below:
