Why the 2007 Monte Bello Is INDEED The Real McCoy …

November 30, 2012

“A firm sense of self-order.”

“Absolutely no concession to commercialism.”

“An exceptionally well-developed sense of form.”

“Precise articulation.”

“Structural command with penetrating emotional force.”

“Exhilarating.”

‘Simultaneously lyrical and virile.”

“Persistently stimulating but never overwhelming.”

“Incisive individuality of expression.”

“A model of crystalline serenity.”

“The essence of spare romanticism.”

“Vividness and spontaneity.”

“Bursting individuality.”

“Beauty and clarity and strength.”

All the above phrases  are, to me, excellent descriptors of the 2007 Ridge Vineyards Monte Bello.

Funny thing is, they’re actually all taken from Nat Hentoff’s original liner notes to the album “The Real McCoy” by the great jazz pianist McCoy Tyner.

Proof again that Monte Bello has The Jazz.

We are very happy to announce the re-lease of the 2007 Ridge Vineyards Monte Bello from our library, available to taste this weekend at both our Monte Bello and Lytton Springs Estates!
