Part II of Live Wine Blogging – #WBC13

Wine unfiltered; wine
in blend, in unison. The
family offering.

Seven measures, five
varietals, four tasters,
one glass; happiness.

D’Angelo. The
family. Is the whole heart
rustic? The wine is.

Canadian zin.
Recommended with a lamb
biryani. Wild!

2_#WBC13_LWB_Red_Haiku

Similkameen zin.
Mount Boucherie. Needs new word:
Exoticity.

3_#WBC13_LWB_Red_Haiku

Winemaker’s notes on
Cabernet Franc: English fruit-
cake. Hill in Summer.

Underripe Cab Franc
is green, or overripe Cab
Franc is not? Wonder.

Hillside Estate; the
Naramata Bench. Cab Franc;
flower and clay. True.

Sandy loam soil; Black Sage
Bench. Where meritage becomes
mystical; lovely.

5_#WBC13_LWB_Red_Haiku

McWatters. McDense.
McClean. McAcidity.
McExtremelyGood.

6_#WBC13_LWB_Red_Haiku

Laughing Stock is no
laughing matter; this is a
real serious wine.

7_#WBC13_LWB_Red_Haiku

One-seven-seven-
five Cabernet/Merlot: all
the wildness of youth.

Cabernet-Merlot:
youth on the bench; sweet and spry,
pudgy and charming.

9_#WBC13_LWB_Red_Haiku

The family reserve:
clarity of purpose, of
fruit, of craft. So deft.

8_#WBC13_LWB_Red_Haiku

Quail at the gate; light
in the glass, lust on the tongue,
fate in the finish.

10_#WBC13_LWB_Red_Haiku

At Cedar Creek, no
masculine, no feminine,
rather; seek unity.

From the home block, a
letter to a lover, this heart
is almost too big.

11_#WBC13_LWB_Red_Haiku

The Gray Monk, in zen
pose; placid of countenance,
devoted of soul.

Live Wine Blogging; now
done. My fingers: red. My teeth:
red. My spirit: fresh!
