#VineWatch13: Week 21!

As Buster Poindexter once noted, it’s Hot, Hot Hot.

And while Kurt Cobain may have had something else in mind when he penned, for the lyrics to “In Bloom,” that “weather changes moods,” it is in fact true that we’re in bloom, and the weather is indeed changing our moods!

Meaning, it’s Hot Hot Hot, and we’re in Bloom Bloom Bloom, and, as Devo once noted, “that’s good.”

Zinfandel has been all over the news of late; most recently on the cover of Wine Spectator, and #RidgeSomms spent a healthy portion of its Tuesday luncheon on the Zinfandel/Primitivo/Plavac Mali/Crljenak Kaštelanski/Tribidrag question, and while the topics percolate and the tastings proceed unabated, our regal beauty at Lytton Springs continues to reign supreme …

Can you believe we’re 21 weeks in? Week 1 was the first week of January!

Now, speculating on when harvest will actually occur is of course a fool’s game, but unless Mother Nature completely loses her mind, we’re well past the half-way point!  Very exciting …

And what of the mountain? Nestled in amongst its brethren, our little gorgeousness is doing just perfectly …
