So it’s First Friday today, so of course I’m thinking about our First Friday events, and in doing so, it just occurred to me that I NEVER put up a post about what I cooked for the LAST First Friday!
As readers of this blog may recall, I’ve been striving to cook something special for each First Friday event, and for last month’s April edition, I did just that.
What did I make?
SPECIAL SECRET INGREDIENT CHILI!
Oh yeah man, I did that thing the OLD-FASHIONED WAY! Big ol’ metal pot, big ol’ metal spoon, big ol’ pot o’ chili!

As to what we paired with the chili (which, might I say, seemed to go over RATHER WELL!), dig the menu:
Hard to pick a favorite, but if I had to? The new Carmichael with that chili was pretty divine … and as you may know, I have certainly been known to wax rhapsodic on zin & chili before… more on that here.
Anyhow, as to tonight’s episode of First Friday, I’m actually going to lay off the cooking, in order to make a little more room for the star of the show: winemaker Eric Baugher!
That’s right folks, attendees to tonight’s First Friday Member Event will have the opportunity to taste and talk with our very own Monte Bello winemaker Eric Baugher! This, my friends, is not something you want to miss!
